This past week was Spring Break for the schools around here, which means my guys were out of school and I had a week off from my PT job. I closed on our new house and work began! Here are a few pics:

It’s not really ready to move in yet…so here’s what it looks like now:

This is all you get for now! There’s a lot of work to be done. We’re stripping wallpaper, painting all rooms, replacing all carpets, and changing many of the lights that have the “late 70’s look”. You’ll have to wait for updates!
We also had a little “excitement”…Matt and Dan enjoyed a game of nerf gun wars:
And the week ended with a little accident. While reaching to pack things from on top of a shelf, my kayak racks fell…and hit my face. This is a “day after” picture so I’m sure it will be all sorts of pretty colors by the end of the week!
I just hope I don’t scare the kids I have to work with this week! And that’s all for now…

Congrats! It looks like it is going to be a wonderful home! Lots of work ahead of you huh? I am trying to redo some of my rooms to but not to the extent you are.. =)
What a GREAT new house! Congratulations. We’ll have to bring the crew down for a home visit! Sorry about the accident. Working together to make your house a HOME is going to leave lasting memories for your guys. Congrats!
