Worth it all
This morning I made plans to share some 1:1 time with each of my guys (see here) and with slight modifications, it went great! We had some serious talking, a lot of laughs, great conversation, and an overall fun time. Spending time with each of them brings out their personalities and they are so much more open to expressing themselves. Here’s my guys and what we did…
First up was racqetball with my youngest. This kid is not afraid to dive for the shot and he gets to everything! My days of letting him win are long gone…great competition!
Next was ice cream with my 14 year old!! He even helped pay…AND shared the oreos!!
After having dessert first (lucky me!), my oldest and I went out to dinner. He just had to make some faces for the camera…
Raising these guys is not always easy but I would never give up what we have and the times we’ve shared. Some of the most difficult struggles have also brought us closer than most people could imagine. As a single mom, I may not be able to share the responsibilities, but when it all comes together, I don’t have to share any of the hugs or thanks either…and that makes it worth it all.

You are blessed to have 3 great boys. And they each want to spend time with you!
That really isnt common place in this worldy world.
I savor every moment my almost 14 yo still loves on me and wants to be w/me, i know someday that will change, but i suck all that loving up while Im able!
By Gods grace only we get thru this life and by Gods mercy we have our boys.
Blessings, kristina
Great post, Rindy!
It’s so cool that one day you were looking to tag out and the next you were drawing on the Lord’s strength to enjoy life with your boys and invest in them - and that God brought you smiles on three dates with three young men!
I wrote in a similar vein way-back on Jan. 20th - Glad you were willing to admit you were spent this week, and that God infused you with His strength for the very next day!
Proud of you!
Phil—
What a handsome group of young men you have living with you (even though they’re making faces)! Enjoy the one-on-one time as I’m sure they appreciate it so much!! I need to try and do the same thing with my kids, but I don’t have half the energy you do!!!!!!
Wow. God bless your perseverance and faith. See the fruit of it.
Looks like you had a great time, keep loving them even when it hurts, they’re worth it!
You have some good looking boys
